Welcome back to Robotics Roundup, a look back on the month’s most important VC deals in the robotics industry. To wrap up 2024, Capstan Medical made a splash with its surgical robotics solutions for heart valve disease, while inspection solutions and drone companies saw lots of action.

The Deals
Capstan Medical raised $110M in Series C funding led by Eclipse with participation from Gideon Strategic Partners and existing investors Yu Galaxy and Intuitive Ventures. The Santa Cruz-based company leverages robotics to bring minimally invasive care to heart valve patients.
Amp Robotics raised $91M in Series D funding led by Congruent Ventures with participation from current and new investors, including Sequoia Capital, XN, Blue Earth Capital, Liberty Mutual Investments, California State Teachers Retirement System, Wellington Management, Range Ventures, and Tao Capital Partners. The Colorado-based company builds trash-sorting robots and recycling facilities.
ANYbotics raised $60M in new funding co-led by Qualcomm Ventures and Supernova Invest, with participation from TDK Ventures and existing investors including Walden Catalyst, NGP Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Swisscanto, and Swisscom Ventures. The Zurich-based company builds autonomous robotic inspection solutions.
Raptor Maps raised $35M in an oversubscribed Series C financing round, led by Maverix Private Equity, with participation from existing investors MKB, Blue Bear Capital, Congruent Ventures, Buoyant Ventures, and Y Combinator. The Boston-based developer’s platform assists teams in converting autonomous drone data to systems analytics for solar site inspections.
D-Fend Solutions raised $31M in funding led by Israel Growth Partners, with participation from existing investor Vertex Ventures and new investor Vertex Growth. The Israel-based developer builds autonomous counter-drone perimeter security systems.
Slip Robotics raised $28M in Series B funding led by DCVC with participation from existing investors Eve Atlas, Tech Square Ventures, Hyde Park Venture Partners, Overline, and Pathbreaker Ventures. The Atlanta-based company builds automated truck-loading robots.
Teleo raised $16.2M in Series A extension funds led by UP.Partners, with participation from Trousdale Ventures, Triatomic Capital, and return investors F-Prime Capital and Trucks Venture Capital. The Palo Alto, California-based company is turning construction and mining equipment into semi-autonomous robots.
Spexi raised $11.5M in Series A funding led by Blockchange Ventures. The Vancouver-based company is building out applications such as autonomous systems, smart infrastructure, gaming, and AI with its drone network.
Engineered Arts raised $10M in Series A funding led by Helium-3 Ventures with participation from AppDirect Chairman and CEO Nicolas Desmarais, Belvoir Investments, ThirtySeven Holdings, and Figueira Capital. The Falmouth, England-based company designs and manufactures humanoid entertainment robots.
Orqa raised €5.8M in seed round funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Radius Capital, Decisive Point, and existing investor Day One Capital. The Croatia-based company develops and produces autonomous drone solutions for defense and enterprise markets.
T-robotics raised $5.4M in seed funding co-led by Engine Ventures and Emergent Ventures with participation from Berkeley Skydeck and Raisewell. The San Francisco-and-Norway-based company develops programming for robots using no-code natural language and skill models.
Mantis Robotics raised $5M in funding led by Emerald Technology Ventures with participation from the Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund. The Pleasanton, California-based company develops technology for human-robot collaboration.
Deus Robotics raised $3M in funding, led by U.Ventures, with participation from 1991 Ventures, SID Venture Partners, Sigma Software Labs, and SD Capital. The Ukrainian company is building warehouse robots that can seamlessly communicate.
Perciv raised €2.5M in seed funding led by Day One Capital Ventures and Keen Venture Partners with participation from Vinci Venture Capital. The Netherlands-based company builds dedicated AI for radar perception, enabling autonomous vehicles from cars to robots to understand their environment.
Tetsuwan Scientific raised $2.7M in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round led by 2048 Ventures, with participation from Carbon Silicon, Everywhere Ventures, Sonia Arrison from the Foresight Institute, and Eduardo Torrealba of Formlabs. The San Francisco-based company is developing wet-lab robotic AI scientists that can conduct research autonomously.
